Practical Exploration

This exploration arose from collaboration with Qingsan Chow, photographer, who developed the project "Loss and Found", which consisted of collecting abandoned clothes on the street, packaging the garments at vacuum and photograph the result, creating a photographic work with textile waste.

Digital Print

I found her work very interesting and inspiring. Those deteriorated garments that Qingsan Chow had found on the streets happened to have a new life. Trying to take another step in the same direction, I took her photographs, modified the colours, and printed them digitally on recycled textiles (which in turn could come from garments that were once discarded) with the aim of creating new garments from these textiles.

Fashion Design

Kimono designed with one of the prints from these photographs.

Why manipulate the colour? To convey a concept, a positive idea towards change: by giving them a new life, textiles have regained colour, joy, are more alive and bright.
